We Wait For The Stars To Rain Down on Us.

Welcome gentle souls,

Finding wonder, stillness and connection beneath the August night sky.

A little poetic ode I wrote for the beautiful August night sky.

We wait

by Stephanie

(with elevation and editing by my wonderful friend Adenike @nike_nourishyou)

We Wait.

We wait for the stars to rain down on us,

The Perseids glisten through inky skies

With meteoric majesty,

Cascading diamonds strewn across black velvet,

Each one a spectacle

Against the vivid darkness

We watch them tumble wildly,

Burning and brilliant for a fleeting moment

Before dissolving into wishes.

What a way to spend an August night,

Lying beneath the vast, never-ending sky.

With jazz cats and slinky foxes,

The only other night owls keeping us company.

We wait.

August invites us to slow down, to look up an remember that there is magic in simply being present for the spectacle.

So, we wait.

Until next time,

Blessings,

Stephanie
